Beginner Climbing Technique
January 4 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating indefinitely
Climbers in this beginner class can expect to learn how to use specific movement techniques to help them climb up our bouldering walls with as little effort as possible. The primary focus in this class is on the economy of motion – moving less and getting more out of those smaller movements. We will focus specifically on ways we can use our legs and core to do the lion’s share of the work for any given set of moves – in doing so, we will reduce the load placed on our arms. Learning to climb in this way will result in longer, more productive gym sessions and an accelerated learning curve. Climbing with a better understanding of technique will make the activity itself feel more joyful and creates a positive feedback loop for newer climbers and experienced climbers alike.
